The Special Olympics Lions Clubs International Foundation Opening Eyes program is changing lives in communities across the globe by providing comprehensive eye assessments, prescription eyewear to Special Olympics BC athletes. This pilot project will feature a new approach for the Opening Eyes program and will provide 10 athletes with full eye examinations in an optometry office.
Appointment priority will be given on a needs-basis, and then on a first come, first serve basis. There are 10 appointments available for athletes without a local optometrist in need of a full eye examination, and 10 appointments available for athletes needing new glasses.
