Welcome athletes to the 2024-2025 program year!
Please carefully read all the information below and complete your Athlete Registration Form.
Before attending any programs, athletes must:
- Submit their Athlete Registration Form, and
- Contact the office to sign-up for programs once the program schedule is available for each season. The Fall/Winter program schedule will be available around the beginning of October.
A paper form can be mailed if requested from the office but completing forms online is preferred for all members. If paper forms are used, they must be returned to the office, by one of the following methods:

Please note: this year’s online registration form will look a little different than recent years, however, it should take less time to complete for returning Special Olympics PEI members. We have created a little video to help everyone complete the Athlete Registration Form:
To be more environmentally friendly, we are using email communication as much as possible. Please ensure that the email address on your registration form is up to date and checked regularly, this helps ensure that you will not miss out on important events & information from Special Olympics PEI.
Information, opportunities, and program cancellations for Special Olympics PEI members are also shared via our Facebook Group – SOPEI Athletes & Volunteers Connecting Virtually, this is different from our main Facebook Page.
For members that do not have email, we can continue to share paper copies of newsletters via traditional mail – please make a note on your registration form that you would like to receive these paper copies.
Lastly, to encourage as much participation as possible in community sport programs and physical activities, SOPEI is once again waiving the $20 annual SOPEI Athlete Registration Fee and a majority of sport-specific program fees for the 2024-2025 year. This may not always be possible each fiscal year and will be re-evaluated when budgeting for 2025-2026.
