In-Person SOC NCCP Introduction to Competition Workshop

The National Coaching Certificate Program Special Olympics Canada Competition Sport Workshop is offered by the Special Olympics BC provincial office for coaches of athletes with intellectual disabilities.

All coaches (except for Active Start and FUNdamentals) are required to complete this course within their first year of coaching Special Olympics athletes.

Workshop helps to equip coaches to empower athletes with intellectual disabilities. Topics in this workshop cover associated disabilities, basic delivery of sport skills, sport-specific and competition-based fitness, competition and safety.

Date: March 8 and March 9
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day
Location: Quesnel Arts and Recreation Centre, Quesnel

Please note: The fee for the course in $65. The cost of the course will be covered by the Local. Please ensure to inform your Local that you have registered for the course

There are limited spaces for this course, and spots will be secured on a first-come, first-served basis.

Coaches will receive more information about the course upon registration.

Please note: Attendees must attend the two days of the course consecutively. The two days of participation must be consecutive and taken with the same course facilitator(s).
