The cross country skiing team of the Special Olympics Team BC 2024 Training Squad is ready to race for personal bests and podium finishes at the National Games! The team is comprised of 12 superstar athletes from SOBC β Golden, Kelowna, Kimberley/Cranbrook, Surrey, and Vancouver, supported by four talented coaches from Kelowna, Penticton, and Vernon.
This yearβs team is a mix of savvy veterans who have previously competed at multiple National Games and athletes who will be going to National Games for the first time. The team has been putting in hard work over the past nine months and are excited to see their training pay off in Calgary.
βIβm very proud and excited to be part of the team,β says SOBC β Vernon coach Les Sigal. βI trust they are excited to do their best.β
