Special Olympics PEI is thrilled to welcome Amy Brown to our staff team as Fund Development Coordinator!
With a love for people, music, sports and sweets (not necessarily in that order) Amy joins Special Olympics PEI with a heart to serve others. She has lived in 5 different provinces / territories and will tell you her favourite thing from each place has been the people and the friendships she has made. If you're trying to find Amy and she's not at the Special Olympics PEI office or at a music show in town you will probably see, and more than likely hear, her cheering on her son as he runs for the UPEI Track and Cross-Country Varsity Teams. Her role with Special Olympics PEI as Fund Development Coordinator is not only one that she is passionate about, but one she is excited for. Amy is thrilled to bring her expertise in event planning and raising funds to a new level of success.
Amy has been working in the event planning and fund development fields since 2008. She is passionate about teamwork, hard work, and caring for others. Her role leans into her skills by creating relationships throughout the province, engaging donors, and inviting new businesses and contacts to join our ever-growing team of contributors. With a strong focus on the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) for Special Olympics, it's committee and partners you'll quickly see she loves the effort and creativity it takes to run a successful event. She is thrilled when the outcome not only raises awareness, but also funds for Special Olympics programs and athletes. Whether it's at the LETR Polar Plunge, Fun Run, Truck Convoy, or any of our other Special Olympics fundraising events, you'll find Amy there and excited to greet you with a warm smile.
With a proven track record of multiple national events, and an ability to create relationships and grow connections, please join us in welcoming Amy to our Special Olympics PEI Staff Team.
