When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

10 years after meeting a teacher who told my family about Special Olympics.

Will these be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

I went to Halifax for the Summer National Games a couple of years ago for softball. I feel like we did well playing against Comox Valley

What were your results in the 2023 Special Olympics BC Winter Games? How did you feel about your performance?

I played on the Abbotsford B team that placed 2nd.

What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2024?

To be able to gain new friends and help them do their best at the games.

What is your goal for these National Games?

To be a solid player who is fit and confident in my abilities to get close to stealing the puck.

What does competing at National Games mean to you?

It is an honour to represent our region and show them we have practiced and will come out and do our best.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

The friends and teamwork.

What would you tell someone about Special Olympics to encourage them to get involved?

Do it! It is such a great experience.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I also do track and field, soccer, softball, Club Fit, and floor hockey. I work at Winners and Homesense and I have a cat. I like playing with magic cards.

What is one word you would use to describe yourself? :)

Supportive.
