When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

2009, it was my idea to be involved with Special Olympics and the rest is history.

Will these be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

This will be my second National Winter Games.

What were your results in the 2023 Special Olympics BC Winter Games? How did you feel about your performance?

I earned my second gold medal. I felt glad and happy that I achieved my goal.

What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2024?

Committed and working hard.

What is your goal for these National Games?

To achieve my goal of earning my third gold medal and hopefully being named to SO Team Canada in 2025.

What does competing at National Games mean to you?

To honour my friends and family who supported me throughout my life.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

Scoring my first national goal and having fun!

What would you tell someone about Special Olympics to encourage them to get involved?

You will try new things meet new friends and travel.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

Outside of Special Olympics, I work part-time at a cucumber farm and also as a dog sitter, learning how to speak Albanian Italian. I also like to read, listen to music, and try new restaurants.

What is one word you would use to describe yourself? :)

Awesomeness.
