Even with COVID-19 slowing us down, our members still had a great year of successes that we want to celebrate! Help us recognize a deserving individual by nominating them for one of our awards.

Please click on the award you are wanting to nominate someone for. You will be directed to a new page that will give you that awards criteria and a few questions about the nominee. You can nominate as many people as you would like, just by returning to this main nomination page.

SOPEI Athlete of the Year Award Nomination form

Special Olympics PEI will present Athlete of the Year awards to two (2) athletes for their most outstanding athletic performance at a Provincial, National or International Competition.
SOPEI Coach of the Year Award nomination form

Special Olympics PEI will present Coach of the Year awards to two (2) coaches who through their commitment to coaching, help athletes reach their athletic pursuits.
SOPEI Presidents Award (Volunteer)

Special Olympics PEI presents this award annually to a volunteer who has made a significant contribution to the Special Olympics movement locally, provincially and/or nationally, and has best exemplified the spirit, philosophy and goals of Special Olympics PEI.
SOPEI Dr. Frank Hayden Award (Athlete) Nomination form

This award will be presented annually to a Special Olympics PEI athlete who has shown commitment to training and the determination to succeed at the grass-roots level. 
SOPEI Spirit Award (Athlete) nomination form

This award will be presented annually to a Special Olympics PEI athlete who brings out the best in his/herself, fellow athletes and coaches through commitment, determination and humour.
SOPEI Facility of the Year Award nomination form

This award will be presented annually to a facility that opens both their doors and hearts to allow Special Olympics PEI programs to call their facility home.
SOPEI David Andrew Memorial Award (Parent/Guardian/Caregiver) nomination form

Special Olympics PEI makes this award available for annual presentation to a Parent/Guardian/Caregiver who has made a significant contribution to the Special Olympics movement locally and/or provincially, and has best exemplified the spirit, philosophy and goals of Special Olympics PEI.
SOPEI Sport Volunteer of the Year Award nomination

This award will be presented annually to a Special Olympics PEI sport volunteer who through their commitment to enriching the lives of Islanders with an intellectual disability through sport, and has made a difference in their community.
