Every two years, alternating between Summer and Winter, Special Olympics PEI is represented on the national level by a team of athletes, coaches, and mission staff. Athlete team members are selected based on results from regional and provincial competitions. Coach and Mission Staff positions are selected by an ad hoc subcommittee of the Special Olympics PEI Board of Directors.

Athletes will be competing in 7 sports - 5-Pin Bowling, Cross Country Skiing, Curling, Figure Skating, Floor Hockey, Snow Shoeing, and Speed Skating. Our Team PEI Games logo was created by Island artist Ashley Cameron. Her vision for this logo was that Lighthouses (an iconic PEI symbol) are used as a beacon or guiding light and it would be a very good reflection of what it means to be a team. She also made an arrow directed upward as the center of the lighthouse to represent growth and motivation.
