When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
I joined in 2007 after joining Randy James and the track athletes one day after school.
Will these be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
I've been to three National Summer Games for athletics in London, Ontario; Vancouver, BC; and Antigonish, Nova Scotia. I've also attended the National Winter Games in Corner Brook, Newfoundland.
What were your results in the 2019 Special Olympics BC Winter Games? How did you feel about your performance?
The Comox Valley Vipers got gold in the A Division.
What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2020?
It's a great honour to be part of these Games with my amazing floor hockey team.
What is your goal for these National Games?
To score at least one goal in our games.
What does competing at National Games mean to you?
I can show the skills I've learned and how hard I've practiced and it gives me the experience for future games and competitions.

The thing I like most about my sport is the comradery among my team.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
It's hard to pick just one favourite over the years I've been in Special Olympics. From winning gold with my floor hockey team to setting new personal bests in athletics and the friends I make along the way.
What would you tell someone about Special Olympics to encourage them to get involved?
No matter who you are, no matter what your skill level, you'll always have the chance to be included in the Special Olympics fun.
What other Special Olympics sports do you participate in?
Aside from floor hockey, I do swimming, athletics, skiing, golf, and powerlifting.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I am the giant on our team so it's hard to miss me, but I'm a gentle giant so I'm easy to approach
What is one word you would use to describe yourself? :)
Tall!
