Exercising outside of your sports can make you better at your sports. Using your muscles in different ways can strengthen them, help you avoid injuries, and help you learn new skills. Most cross-training exercises help with balance, agility, flexibility, endurance, and speed – all skills that will benefit you in any sport you do. You can work out on your own at home, in the park, or by following a YouTube video. Join a gym and take part in exercise classes or use the cardio equipment and lift weights on your own.
