The Auction for Athletes returned April 15 to 18, 2024, for another year of driving life-changing support for Special Olympics BC!

For more 35 years, B.C.’s New Car Dealers have been making a difference through the Auction for Athletes, raising over $5.65 million! The annual online auction raises vital funds to empower Special Olympics athletes with intellectual disabilities, and help the New Car Dealers Foundation of BC award automotive industry grants and scholarships.

With your generous donations and bids in the Auction for Athletes, you helped Special Olympics BC create empowering connections, open hearts and minds to inclusion, and break down barriers in 55 communities throughout the province.

The auction website annually attracts hundreds of visitors from around the province, bidding on sought-after items and experiences including new cars, electronics, autographed memorabilia, sporting goods, gift cards, and more.

The 2024 Auction for Athletes was a huge success, raising a record total of over $255,000 for Special Olympics BC and the New Car Dealers Foundation of BC. To all the valued sponsors, donors, bidders, and supporters – our heartfelt thanks for reuniting friends on the fields of play.

B.C.’s New Car Dealers

Since 1984, the New Car Dealers Foundation of BC has been committed to supporting Special Olympics BC through the New Car Dealers Foundation of BC. These dedicated supporters contribute to the empowerment, health, and skill development of our athletes through several important initiatives.

Through more than three decades, the Auction for Athletes has raised over $5.4 million to support SOBC’s life-changing year-round sport programs for people with intellectual disabilities, and the empowering work of the New Car Dealers Foundation.
