Special Olympics PEI is thrilled to announce the 66 members who have been selected to the training team in preparation for the 2018 Special Olympics Canada (SOC) National Summer Games. The Team PEI 2018 roster consists of 45 athletes, 14 coaches, and 7 mission staff competing in the sports of 5-Pin Bowling, 10-Pin Bowling, Athletics, Bocce, Golf, Powerlifting, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Soccer, Softball, and Swimming. Team members will be very busy training multiple times per week, attending training camps, and fundraising as the Games are less than a year away. 5-Pin and 10-Pin Bowling will attend the SOC National Bowling Championships being co-hosted by Charlottetown, Summerside, and Tyne Valley, PEI from May 14-20th, 2018. Athletics, Bocce, Golf, Powerlifting, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Soccer, Softball, and Swimming will attend the SOC National Summer Games in Antigonish, NS from July 29th – August 5th, 2018.
