Sharing the Joy of Sport

Special Olympics Athletes train and compete in sport while having fun, developing life skills, and building self-esteem. We currently offer 16 official sports, and several of our Community Clubs offer a variety of non-offical sports. We also offer Special Olympics Young Athletes and Unified Sports programs as well as Athlete Leadership Programs.

The opportunities to excel and have fun come with the benefits of improved health and self-image. For many athletes, participating in Special Olympics, is a pathway to healthy living, empowerment, acceptance and friendship.

Special Olympics NL has a number of different community clubs throughout our province that provide a variety of sport programs, and competition opportunities to their athletes.

Please find the community club nearest you from the list below and click to discover more about their sport and programs.

Please note, the selection of sports and programs in a Community Club is dependent on volunteer and resource availability.
