This month's training tip comes from Kayley Olund-Rak, a Special Olympics BC β Surrey swimmer who recently completed Special Olympics Health Messenger training. She is extremely passionate about mental wellness and spreading awareness, mentorship, and support.
As athletes itβs important to work on training our minds, as well as bodies, in order to be calm and focused for competitions. There are many things you can do to keep a strong mind, like connecting with others, getting enough sleep, staying active, eating healthy food, asking for help when needed, and using Strong Minds strategies. Today Kayley discusses some of her favourite Strong Minds strategies to reduce stress and keep her competition ready!
