Law Enforcement Torch Run for SOBC
Law enforcement members and agencies around the world are inspiring supporters of Special Olympics. During this time they are working hard to keep people in their communities safe – and we are very grateful for their efforts!
Sobeys Inc.
Sobeys has launched a Hero Pay Program for staff working in stores and distribution services. Retroactive to March 8, all employees receive an additional $50 per week, and staff working more than 20 hours per week receive an additional $2 per hour for all hours over 20 hours. Learn more
Pacific Coastal Airlines
After suspending scheduled passenger and cargo service, Pacific Coastal Airlines is now working with various communities to ensure they still have access to essential personnel and supplies. Pacific Coastal Airlines is working to ensure that health care professionals and cargo, such as medical supplies and food, can still reach the communities they serve year-round. Learn more

Westminster Savings is supporting their members through a potentially difficult time by introducing an interim relief program that includes options for members to defer lending payments. Learn more
Tim Hortons
Tim Hortons is providing up to $40 million of financial support with their 1,500 restaurant owners across Canada to ensure that employees affected by COVID-19 stay home and don’t have to worry about how they will support themselves and their families. Learn more
Wheaton Precious Metals
Wheaton Precious Metals is pledging US$5 million to establish their Community Support and Response Fund. They will partner with charitable organizations and their mining partners to support employees and host communities throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Eighty per cent of the fund will be targeted to the communities that are directly influenced by the mines on which they have precious metals streaming agreements, and the remainder will be allocated to local programs in Vancouver and Grand Cayman where their offices are located.
