SOBC staff update fall 2021

Special Olympics BC has recently welcomed new members to the provincial office staff team and family!

We're delighted to congratulate Finance & Administration Manager Sheida Hajighazi and her husband and family, as they welcomed their new baby into the world in October.

With Sheida on maternity leave for the coming year, Nazgul Dzhumalieva has joined the provincial office as Finance Manager. She brings experience in non-profit organizations and vital finance resources such as QuickBooks Online, Payworks, and pandemic support programs.

Also this fall, Roxanna Kong joined SOBC as Office Administrator. An SFU graduate with a major in Interactive Arts and Technology, Roxanna brings a strong background in business and operations management from diverse industries including electronics manufacturing and food. 

We also welcomed Marta Jarosinski into the role of Fund Development Coordinator, focusing on fundraising events and supporting SOBC's valued Locals and donors. A graduate of the University of Victoria, Marta has experience in fundraising events and marketing for organizations ranging from non-profits to automotive businesses and art galleries.
