Right now is the season for comfort foods, which always taste great, but if you want to perform your best you need to be mindful of the fuel you give your body! During your meals try and opt for white meat as it is a lean protein. Load your plate up with steamed or baked vegetables and salad. Go for potatoes and heavy starches like pasta last and take only a small portion. This way you get to enjoy all the yummy foods and still feel great after your meal and even better at your next game or practice.
