When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

Joined in 1993. Introduced by a school teacher.

Will these be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

Competed at National Games in 2010 in London, Ontario for 5-pin bowling.

What were your results in the 2023 Special Olympics BC Winter

Games? How did you feel about your performance?

Gold in our division. Pleased with how I bowled and excited about the win!

What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2024?

Proud and excited to be part of the team!

What is your goal for these National Games?

Strikes and return with a medal. Meet new people.

What does competing at National Games mean to you?

Go there for the experience and to have fun!

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

Bowling with a team and also challenging myself.

What would you tell someone about Special Olympics to encourage them to get involved?

It's a lot of fun, you'll meet new people, and creates discipline.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I like to play darts and received a team trophy last season. My personal best out was a 148. I have been playing for 10 years.

What is one word you would use to describe yourself? :)

Interesting.
