When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

In 2007 from a friend.

Will these be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

This will be my fourth National Games. 2018 in softball, 2016 in speed skating, and 2012 in curling.

What were your results in the 2023 Special Olympics BC Winter Games? How did you feel about your performance?

I got gold in 1000m, gold in 555m, gold in 333m, and bronze in 777m. I felt strong.

What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2024?

It is an honour to represent B.C.

What is your goal for these National Games?

To have personal bests and qualify for World Games.

What does competing at National Games mean to you?

The opportunity to compete against the best athletes in the country and the whole games experience.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

The speed and the adrenaline.

What would you tell someone about Special Olympics to encourage them to get involved?

The opportunity to compete and meet new friends.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

My job is to drive a semi-truck.

What is one word you would use to describe yourself? :)

Determined.
