When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

In August 2013, a friend asked if I'd like to join the skating club.

Will these be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

Yes.

What were your results in the 2023 Special Olympics BC Winter Games? How did you feel about your performance?

I won gold I felt really good about it.

What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2024?

It means so much to me, I am very happy about it.

What is your goal for these National Games?

To do my best.

What does competing at National Games mean to you?

It means a lot to me.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

That I am out there doing my favourite sport I have always been a big fan of figure skating.

What would you tell someone about Special Olympics to encourage them to get involved?

That they would really enjoy it and that they would meet so many people.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I like volunteering at my church & with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs in my town. I am the assistant equipment manager. I keep in touch with my family and friends on Facebook or email. I've been in the Terry Fox run since 2006, and I raised over $10,000. I love learning new things like sign language and French.

What is one word you would use to describe yourself? :)

Friendly.
