When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

I got involved with Special Olympics in 1998.

Will these be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

No, this is my second time at National Games. My first time was in Corner Brook in 2016 for snowshoeing. This time, I will be in curling.

What were your results in the 2023 Special Olympics BC Winter Games? How did you feel about your performance?

In Kamloops we only had a three person team and we were up against the wall but we still got the win and we came home with the gold medal!

What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2024?

It is a privilege and an honour to be a part of this amazing team and I look forward to seeing more people and friends.

What is your goal for these National Games?

My goal is to do my best.

What does competing at National Games mean to you?

Doing my best, having fun with my friends and teammates, and meeting new friends.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

I love making my shots in curling and seeing the results of my actions.

What would you tell someone about Special Olympics to encourage them to get involved?

I would tell them to not be afraid to meet new people and make new friends.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I work at the city of Quesnel and I have been there for 15 years and I enjoy the staff.

What is one word you would use to describe yourself? :)

Caring.
