When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

I was around 10 years old. I played challenger and wanted to play ball with real rules. We looked at Special Olympics and I really liked it.

Will these be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

No, 2016 in Corner Brook for speed skating and 2018 for softball.

What were your results in the 2023 Special Olympics BC Winter Games? How did you feel about your performance?

I finished first once, second twice, and third once. I had a good performance.

What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2024?

I feel proud because I have worked hard.

What is your goal for these National Games?

To do the best I can and hopefully win a medal.

What does competing at National Games mean to you?

I feel proud to skate for Canada.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

Meeting new people, and learning how to do crossovers, I can go very fast.

What would you tell someone about Special Olympics to encourage them to get involved?

You will meet a lot of new people and make friends. I was afraid to run before S/O, but now I can run fast because I learned how to at S/O.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I am kind I like to laugh and I like to be out with friends in my community.

What is one word you would use to describe yourself? :)

Friendly.
