When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

A family friend suggested that I join, when I was around 10 years old, in 2006.

Will these be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

No. I competed in Vancouver, Thunder Bay, and in Antigonish.

What were your results in the 2023 Special Olympics BC Winter Games? How did you feel about your performance?

We came in second and Mission came in first. I felt good about my performance as a goalie.

What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2024?

I am excited to go to the Nationals because it is a new adventure, with a new team, and I get to meet new people.

What is your goal for these National Games?

To do my best and support my team.

What does competing at National Games mean to you?

It is the chance for me to go to the World Games.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

Floor hockey is a challenge, but it is fun to work as a team.

What would you tell someone about Special Olympics to encourage them to get involved?

Special Olympics is fun and you get to make new friends.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I am involved in a lot of Special Olympics sports, but soccer is my favourite.

What is one word you would use to describe yourself? :)

Friendly.
