Adding to our online coach education opportunities, Special Olympics BC will be hosting a virtual SOBC Competition During Return to Sport Coach Development Webinar on November 25 at 6:30 p.m. PT (focusing on timed and measured sports) and November 30 at 6:30 PT (focusing on team and judged sports)! These workshops will be open to all Special Olympics BC coaches.

As we further develop what competition could look like within Return to Sport and COVID we need your input. These sessions will share information on initiatives we are developing and provide the opportunity for discussion about these and other ideas within the 2020/2021 season. We know competition won't look the same this season but we also know it is an important part of Special Olympics.

These sport-specific workshops are for coaches only. Please register for the session that best fits your sport but if you can't make that session, you are welcome to participate in the other session.

Please register for the webinar on November 25 at 6:30 p.m. PT, focusing on team and judged sports by clicking here. The registration deadline for this webinar is November 24 at 11:59 p.m. PT.

Please stay tuned to our website and social media channels for announcements of upcoming Coach Development Webinars in other sports!

LOGISTICS

Participating coaches are asked to ensure you have your NCCP number ready so this webinar can be added to your NCCP Locker. If you do not have one, please email Lois McNary (SOBC Vice President, Sport) before the workshop and she will be happy to assist.

The webinar will be recorded for future SOBC resource use, but no participants will be required to have their electronic device's camera on to display themselves. If/when you wish to ask questions, you may do so via the messaging chat feature of the webinar; this and more will be discussed during the webinar introduction.

Participants are asked to join the webinar 5 minutes before the official start time in order to allow time to test and set up technical requirements.
