Liz Little first started volunteer with Special Olympics over 10 years ago, when her daughter Katie joined the movement as an athlete. Liz currently serves as SOBC – Burnaby’s Public Relations Coordinator and is the long-time coach of the local snowshoe program. Liz says some of her favourite things about being involved with Special Olympics include seeing the athletes work together and how enthusiastically they cheer each other on, whether for a major competition or just at a regular practice. She loves seeing all the athletes wear their uniforms with pride, always striving to compete to the best of their abilities. Thank you Liz for longstanding involvement! Our movement would not succeed without people like you.
“Any Special Olympics event is bursting with energy and interaction.”
