For 25 years.
How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?
It has shown me to work hard and have fun.
What do you like most about the sport you will be competing in at Special Olympics World Summer Games Berlin 2023?
It tests your strength and has measurable outcomes. It generally helps all other activities in sport and life.
What is your proudest moment with Special Olympics?
An athlete injured themselves during National Games and I was named Head Coach for the SO World Games Team and was able to get them through training while improving their function. At those Games that person hit an all-time personal best in the lift that injured them.
What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?
It's an opportunity for athletes to test their skill against other athletes on a world stage. I want to give them every opportunity to perform their best, stay safe and have fun.
What is your goal for Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023?
To prepare athletes to be their best on competition day and to share their experience with traveling and being part of a team.
