July 12th, 2021
Dear Special Olympics Saskatchewan Membership,
Due to the complete removal of Public Health Orders on July 11th we have made the decision to lessen the restrictions on SOS sport programs. Programs can return as close to normal functioning as the coaches and community leadership are comfortable with. Communities can implement mask or other COVID-19 requirements for their programs if they choose. Waivers, declarations, and attendance tracking will still be required. We are pleased to make this change and along with our community leaders will strive to provide safe and meaningful sport programming.
SOS will have further communication to SOS community leaders by late August or early September 2021 to provide program details for the 2021-22 program year. This will include updates on waivers, declarations, and attendance tracking protocols. Depending on the status of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan, it may include restrictions if they are required.
With most of our programs on Summer break we hope you all enjoy a fun and safe Summer!
Hope to see you at a SOS event or competition in the fall,
Your friends at Special Olympics Saskatchewan
