Special Olympics Canada has identified specific outcomes that require additional knowledge, skills, and abilities that are relevant to coaching the Special Olympics athletes in a competitive stream. The intent is to prepare the coach to meet the specific needs of the Special Olympics athlete. The coaches will be required to demonstrate their abilities in the training (SOC Competition Introduction Workshop).

Please note: There is a maximum of 15 registrants for this workshop. Registrants will receive workshop materials closer to the date of the first session.

Date & Time: Saturday, November 18th (9:00am-5:00pm), and Sunday, November 19th (9:00am-1:00pm)

Location: Administrative Centre for Sport, Culture, and Recreation - 510 Cynthia St., Saskatoon, SK

 

This course will be run fully in-person. Saturday will consist of an 8-hour session and Sunday will consist of a 4-hour session. You must attend both sessions to complete the training. There will be a 30-minute time period allotted for lunch on Saturday, so we suggest and encourage all coaches that are attending to pack a lunch!
