Meet Our New CEO!

Morgan Carver

We at Special Olympics Saskatchewan are thrilled to announce the appointment of our new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Morgan Carver! Morgan brings a wealth of experience, passion, and a deep commitment to the values that make our organization so great. 

Special Olympics Saskatchewan is part of a global movement that believes in the true transformative power and joy of sport for people with an intellectual disability. We know that sport has the capacity to transform lives, change attitudes, and make communities stronger. Morgan joins Special Olympics with a proven track record of leadership and a dedication to empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities. With a background in nonprofit management and a strong understanding of the power sport plays in making change, we are excited to welcome Morgan to our SOS team.

I am inspired by the dedication of our athletes, the hard work of our volunteers, and the unwavering support of our community. Get to know Morgan better:

Morgan has extensive knowledge strategic planning and policy building. Coming from a large family, Morgan was raised in Regina where she completed her post-secondary education at the University of Regina and online colleges. Beyond her professional credentials, she has always felt a calling to make a difference from an early age. The commitment to making a difference led her down a path to not only volunteer with Special Olympics as a softball coach in 2010, but to also join the Provincial Board in 2022 as the HR Committee Chair.

 

Fun Facts about Morgan: 

  • Morgan is married and has 3 children, which means her weeknights & weekends are filled with taking her kids to hockey games, basketball practices, or volleyball tournaments
  • She is a huge fan of the Minnesota Vikings
  • She loves Disney movies
  • She spends most of her summers playing beach volleyball and hanging out at the lake with her family

Morgan is "honoured to step into the role of CEO at Special Olympics Saskatchewan, an organization that holds a special place in [her] heart. [She] is excited and eager to embrace this new chapter with open hearts and unwavering support. Here's to a future filled with shared victories, heartfelt connections, and the enduring spirit of inclusion".
