Biography: 

27-year-old Vidal is the only deaf player on the Team Canada Basketball roster. While communication is difficult, Vidal says his teammates and Special Olympics make him feel he is a full part of a team and a community. He has been with Special Olympics for 12 years and has won Gold medals in the Provincial and National Games. He is excited to represent Canada, to show his Deaf Pride and to meet players from other countries. Vidal attends activities at the Bob Rumball Canadian Centre of Excellence for the Deaf. He also loves watching movies.
