Biography: 

Hailing from Uxbridge, ON, Duane has been involved with Special Olympics for over 35 years. His two older brothers were athletes and his father was a manager/coach for many years. Duane says that Special Olympics has given him an appreciation of the potential of athletes and that his involvement grounds him and keeps him focused on what is important. The Special Olympics World Summer Games, Abu Dhabi 2019 is the pinnacle of Duane’s Special Olympics career and he is proud to represent Canada at this level.
