How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?
Thirty-four years.
How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?
I better appreciate all the skills and abilities of everyone, and that no matter what your experience, you are a part of a team.
What do you like most about the sport you will be competing in at Special Olympics World Summer Games Berlin 2023?
I am the Head Coach for the men's basketball team. I love basketball because of its speed, required skills, and strategic planning and execution. Basketball is a sport where the players have to play as a team, and not as individuals. Bringing together a complete team is a great challenge for any coach.

It means I can help our athletes compete on a world level. I can represent Canada.

My goal is to have our team participate on the world stage, to the best of our abilities. To proudly show the world how great Canadian athletes are.
