How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?
Fifteen years.
How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?
It has made me a better person. I’ve made so many friends over the years and some I call like family. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without Special Olympics, it’s made me who I am today.
What do you like most about the sport you will be competing in at Special Olympics World Summer Games Berlin 2023?
I love the adrenaline it brings. Track and field is a huge part of my life and I love every minute of it when I’m on the track running. I feel free.
What is your proudest moment with Special Olympics?
My proudest moment was competing at my first World Games in 2019 and sharing that experience with my favourite coach Janice. And achieving my goals of getting personal bests in my two jumping events for the pentathlon.
What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?
It means a lot. It shows me that I work hard and by doing my best no matter what challenges come my way.
What is your goal for Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023?
To do my best and achieve a personal best in the two events I’ll be competing in. And also have fun and make new friends
