How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?
I first got involved with Special Olympics 29 years ago.
How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?
I like being part of a team and training and competing. Special Olympics taught me how to eat healthy and train hard. I meet a lot of friends and have fun with my friends.
What do you like most about the sport you will be competing in at Special Olympics World Summer Games Berlin 2023?
I like playing Bocce and knowing where to throw the ball to get close to the pallina.
What is your proudest moment with Special Olympics?
The proudest I’ve ever been was standing on the podium and winning a gold medal. That and having my family there to see me compete.
What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?
It means being part of a team, training hard, meeting new people and having the opportunity to be a member of Special Olympics Team Canada.
What is your goal for Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023?
I will try my best to win a gold medal for Canada. I am most excited to be representing Canada and being in Berlin with my team.
