How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?
I've been in Special Olympics for over 15 years. I was 17 years old when I first joined.
How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?
The biggest difference is the amount of friends that I have made since joining Special Olympics.
How have you been preparing yourself for competition?
I exercise at least 4 or 5 times a week. My goal is to try to beat my personal best times.
What is the biggest challenge you have overcome in your life?
My biggest challenge was probably leaving home to begin living more independently with the help of my affiliate family. I overcame it and couldn't be happier.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I was very proud to have made Special Olympics Team Canada in 2017 and go to Austria for the World Games.
What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?
It's like a dream come true to be able to go a to World Games. I'm happy and proud to represent not only my province but Canada.
