How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?

I first joined Special Olympics in 2012.

How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?

So much has changed in my life since joining Special Olympics. From more friends, confidence and fun; I wouldn’t have pictured it like this years ago!

How have you been preparing yourself for competition?

I prepare myself by training every day. My goal is to work hard and hopefully bring home some medals!

What is the biggest challenge you've overcome in your life?

The ability to meet people and make friends used to be difficult for me. Special Olympics has provided me the opportunity to make new friends and overcome this challenge.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

I am most proud in participating in the Special Olympics Ontario Provincial Winter Games, Sault Ste. Marie, 2019 and in the Special Olympics Canada National Winter Games, Thunder Bay 2020. I won two gold medals and one silver medal at the Provincial Games. Then I won two bronze medals at the National Games!

What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?

Special Olympics means a lot to me! I am very grateful to be a part of this team.
