I have become more confident, learnt new skills and I have met lots of nice people. I also have had the chance to volunteer and give back to my community, which I really enjoy doing.

How have you been preparing yourself for competition?

I train at least five times per week. My goal is to improve my strength, focus and times.

What is the biggest challenge you've overcome in your life?

Learning to walk, talk again and improve my fine motor skills.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

My achievements at the Special Olympics Summer World Games in 2011 and being named the Special Olympics Ontario Provincial and Special Olympics Canada’s Athlete Of The Year in 2020.

What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?

Special Olympics taught me that I can do anything that I put my mind to. Attending the World Games is confirmation of that.
