How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?
I first joined 5 years ago, when I was 13 years old.
How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?
I am more comfortable with other people on the spectrum.
How have you been preparing yourself for competition?
I train for an average of 2 hours a day. My goal is to enhance my physical abilities and improve my speed and skill with skiing.
What is the biggest challenge you have overcome in your life?
Learning life skills to work towards being independent.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Doing well in school, in life and in my sports.
What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?
It’s not only something fun to do, it gives me new challenges to face. I am excited to see more of the world!
