How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?
I've been involved with Special Olympics for 14 years. I joined it in 2007 when I was 8 years old.
How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?
I feel happier and more confident. I have met new people and made friends. I've become stronger and healthier. I am proud of representing Canada.
How have you been preparing yourself for competition?
My goal is to work hard, train more, compete and win more medals in Russia. I have been training on the ice 2 times a week and off-ice training every day.
What is the biggest challenge you have overcome in your life?
The biggest challenge I've overcome is to get on the ice, work hard and improve my skating skills.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am most proud when I am cheering with my team, winning lot of medals and representing Canada.
What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?
It means that I can travel to new countries, make friends and compete for Canada.
