How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?
I have been involved with Special Olympics for 13 years now. I first started when I was 13 years old.
How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?
Special Olympics has given me the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. I have had lots of experiences trying new things and even get to travel!
How have you been preparing yourself for competition?
I train 5 to 6 times a week. My goal is to improve my fitness and healthy eating habits to increase my strength, endurance and speed.
What is the biggest challenge you have overcome in your life?
My biggest challenge is my heart condition.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I never give up, always try my best and am kind to others. I am very proud of being selected to be part of the Special Olympics Team Canada 2022 Training Squad and for winning SOPEI Male Athlete of the Year 2019-2020. That was a super proud moment!
What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?
It means I get the chance to show that all my hard work and dedication has finally gotten me to this point. Special Olympics has allowed me many opportunities and the chance to make new friends and be part of something special.
