How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?
I have been involved with Special Olympics for eight years. I was 13 years old when I started.
How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?
I have a lot more friends now that I’ve joined Special Olympic. I find it easier to talk to people and interact. I enjoy being outside more and trying new sports.
How have you been preparing yourself for competition?
I have been training four to six days a week and my goal is to represent Canada to the best of my abilities.
What is the biggest challenge you've overcome in your life?
The biggest challenge I’ve over come is learning how to read.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my silver medal in Austria, 2017.
What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?
Participating in the World Games is everything. We all work so hard in the hopes of making it, travelling the world and representing Canada in the sports we love with the athletes we train with.
