How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?

I have been involved with Special Olympics since I was about 8-years old.

How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?

I feel like I am not bullied anymore and I have lots of friends who are just like me, so I feel like I fit in.

How have you been preparing yourself for competition?

I do on-ice training 2 days a week for 2 hours a day and off-ice training 5 days a week. My goal is to do my program really well and not get dizzy on my spins.

What is the biggest challenge you have overcome in your life?

Having to overcome being teased in school by my peers. Now I represent Canada.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

Getting to represent Canada at not just the Special Olympics Winter World Games for figure skating, but also the Summer World Games for golf!

What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?

Special Olympics makes me very happy because I found people who I fit in with and have made lots of friends. When I get to represent Canada it makes me very proud and I hope to bring home a medal!
