How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?
Almost 20 years.
How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?
Special Olympics has provided me something to look forward to in staying focused on my goals and overcoming personal barriers.
How have you been preparing yourself for competition?
My goal is to train at a steady pace, two to three times a week. As we get closer to the World Games, I will begin to train daily in preparation for Russia.
What is the biggest challenge you've overcome in your life?
Overcoming cancer a few years ago.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my work ethic and the work I have put into strengthening my mental health.
What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?
Wearing the maple leaf and taking part in my dream of being at the World Games!
