How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?
When I was 19 years old and after I graduated from high school, I started with alpine skiing.
How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?
I have a national wide community of friends I have met through training and competing.
How have you been preparing yourself for competition?
I train five days out of the week and my goal is to prepare myself to compete at my best level. I hope to bring home a gold!
What is the biggest challenge you've overcome in your life?
My biggest challenge was training and working hard to get to the World Games. I knew I could do it with hard work.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am proud to represent Canada at the World Games.
What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?
The privilege and pride to represent my country on a world stage and have the opportunity to bring home gold for Canada. This will be my first World Games and I am really exited!
