Darlene MacQuarrie
As Chef de Mission of Team Sask, Darlene is excited to see the athletes compete at a higher level. She is looking forward to spending time with the new athletes that have not experienced a National Games before. Darlene wants to ensure the team has a positive experience while having fun! In her spare time she enjoys her 10 grandchildren, quilting and spending time at the cottage.

Ben Lozinsky
Ben is looking forward to planning, organizing and help lead the team well at these National Games. He hopes to learn a lot, bond with fellow coaches/athletes, have fun and most importantly see athletes achieve their goals!

Barb Fredrickson
Barb loves watching the athletes compete at these games and being able to see them give their very best. She hopes that this experience will allow her to better support her athletes not only at these games but locally as well. In her spare time, Barb works at St. Anne’s Parish and participates in running events.

Angela Yuzik
Angela is looking forward to meeting new athletes, coaches and volunteers in her first time attending the National Games. She is hoping to build new athlete relationships and experiences that she can bring back to her own athletes. Angela enjoys dancing, yoga, weight training and working on dog agility.

Tyler Kowalski
Tyler is excited about working with the team and ensuring the athletes are ready once competition begins. He is honored to be a part of Team Sask and is looking forward to getting to know all the athletes and coaches.

Jocelyn Schrader
In her first appearance at Nationals, Jocelyn is looking forward to watching her athletes show the rest of the country how good they are. Jocelyn hopes to learn more about how Special Olympics operates on a national level compared to the community level. She enjoys gardening, listening to music, fishing, and camping in her spare time.

Rhonda Penno
In her second appearance at these National Games as a coach, Rhonda is looking forward to enriching and enhancing the experience for her athletes. Rhonda hopes to grow her athletes at these games so they can achieve their personal best. She enjoys curling, volunteering, gardening, fishing and golfing in her spare time.

Lynn Quist
Lynn will be appearing in her second National Games as a coach and is looking forward to meeting new people and watching her athletes try their best. She hopes that she will enjoy the whole experience of the National Winter Games and of course – the dance! In her spare time, Lynn helps out with Challenger Baseball Sask.

Jo-Ann Paxman
JoAnn will be bringing lots of coaching experience to the team as she has been coaching bowling for 8 years now. She is looking forward to seeing the excitement in the athletes on having this opportunity to travel and compete at this level. When she isn’t involved with bowling, JoAnn enjoys camping and hiking in the mountains.

Jen Ellarma
In her second appearance at National Games as a coach, Jennifer is looking forward to learning from other coaches and helping her athletes achieve their goals. Jennifer hopes to find valuable national-level experience from these games to help her prepare for World Games. She enjoys hiking, camping, canoeing, pottery, yoga, gardening, and soccer.

Brian Kjelshus
Brian is looking forward to making new friends and coaching his athletes to do their best in his second appearance coaching Nationals. Brian wants to ensure that his athletes are good ambassadors for the curling venue. When not coaching Brian enjoys gardening, camping, quadding, curling and playing baseball.

Carl Kruger
Carl is hoping for all the athletes at these games to have a positive experience while competing at a high level. This will be Carl's first appearance at Nationals as an assistant coach for the curling team. In his spare time, Carl loves to golf and go camping with his family.

David Czerniak
David is looking forward to learning from other coaches that he has met over the years while having fun in his second appearance at Nationals as a coach. David is currently on his 4th term with the Coaches Core Committee for Skate Saskatchewan.

Darren Whitehead
Darren has been involved with SOS for almost 4 decades and won a World Gold medal in 2013 as a coach! During these games he is looking forward to the competition, having fun, seeing celebrities and the opening/closing ceremonies. Darren enjoys golfing and spending time at the Army and Navy Club Rooms in Prince Albert.

Brian Reifferscheid
Brian is looking forward to having fun and the experience that he will have with the floor hockey team in his first appearance at Nationals. In addition to coaching, Brian enjoys old trucks and cars as a hobby. |
Lawrence Weber
The most important thing for Lawrence at these National games is to ensure that all his athletes play hard and most importantly have fun. Lawrence is looking forward to meeting new people and discussing with them about how they can make Special Olympics even better! In his spare time Lawrence enjoys to golf and fish.

Barb Degenstein
Barb is looking forward to observing other coaching styles and practices and ensuring the athletes have a fun and positive experience. During these games she hopes to reunite with old coaches and meet new coaches. When Barb isn’t coaching she enjoys yoga, yard work, traveling and volunteering. |
Stephen Neiszner
Stephen is looking forward to having his athletes experience a new place and the energy that comes along with these National Games. He hopes to help his athletes achieve their best while gaining more coaching experience and growing his network of coaching resources. Stephen participates in swimming, biking, hiking and going to the gym in his spare time.

In his first appearance at National Games as a coach, Eric is looking forward to learning from his fellow coaches about leadership strategies and best practices. Eric hopes to build and enhance lifelong friendships while encouraging his athletes to perform at their peak. He enjoys photography, swimming, family time, camping and traveling.

Larry Fast
Larry is looking forward to getting to know athletes and coaches from all over Canada in his third appearance at Nationals as a coach. Larry enjoys cycling, yoga, building cross country skis and attending his kids and grandkids activities in his spare time!
