An OPen And Transparent Recruitment Process
Our Board of Directors has developed a process to recruit Board candidates that is open and transparent. The process works as follows:
- A Nomination Form is completed, signed, and forwarded to the Chair of the Special Olympics Saskatchewan 2021 Board of Directors Nominations Committee by the DEADLINE: July 28, 2021. Before submission, applicants should have read and reviewed the Special Olympics Saskatchewan Board Recruitment Package.
- The Board considers all nominations and based on specific skill competencies, it prepares a slate of candidates for presentation to the Annual General Meeting.
A key step in this process is the candidate’s confirmation of interest in letting their name stand for nomination after reading the information about the role and responsibilities of the Board and its Directors. The candidate must have an understanding of the nature and extent of the commitment that is required of an SOS Director. Each candidate needs to confirm that their first responsibility with SOS is to the SOS Board of Directors, all other forms of participation in Special Olympics need to be secondary to their role as an SOS Director.
