Dear Special Olympics Saskatchewan Members,

Due to the current Public Health Orders and our shared values of care for our membership we have made the decision to extend the suspension of all sport training, programs and competitions, meetings, and in-person events until June 30th, 2020. Based on the latest projections from Government Health officials and in consultation with other Special Olympics and sport programs across Canada, it is clear that this decision has to be made to ensure the health and safety of our members.

We want to do everything we can to continue to create a space of belonging, wellness and fun for our members. We have included links to resources, activities and connection opportunities below.

In light of this timeline, we have a few items to focus on next:

  • Surveying YOU! We will review the online tools that are being used the most and reach out to our membership to find out what you need during this time to maintain connected, have opportunities for wellness and stay in shape for your sports.
  • Planning for next season. We realize that some of you may have missed some opportunities to attend qualifying competitions for Provincial Games. This is an exceptional situation and as such we will be formalizing alternative ways to qualify and identify participants for Provincial Games next year.Dear Special Olympics Saskatchewan Members,

*Please note that the Special Olympics Saskatchewan office will be closed during this time but staff will be available via email and phone.

We want you to stay healthy, active and having fun during this delay in programming. Visit our health and fitness online resources page
