Another LETR Polar Plunge season has passed - and what a success it was!
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated, donated, volunteered, and partnered with us. Despite the cold water, the weather couldn't have been better for both the Saskatoon and Regina Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics (LETR) Polar Plunges.
The first Plunge kicked off on January 27th in Saskatoon at the Cabela's parking lot. This is the second year Saskatoon LETR has put on the event, and the participation almost doubled from the previous year. In total, 55 brr-ave plungers took the jump into the cold water all to support Special Olympics athletes across the province. Special thanks goes out to: Cora for providing coffee and hot chocolate to the participants; Chinook Scaffolding for building the scaffolding; and Paradise Leisurescapes for supplying the hot tub (a plunger favourite for sure) and bin liner.
The second Polar Plunge took place in Regina on February 3rd in partnership with Regina Downtown BID and Frost Regina in Pat Fiacco Park. Over 170 plungers participated, setting a new record for number of plungers ever to take the icy dip. Special thanks goes out to the Regina Fire Department for filling the bin with water (and to Chief Layne Jackson for being a Celebrity plunger); ICON Scaffolding for building the scaffolding; and to Planet Scuba for ensuring plunger safety.
Congratulations to this years Polar Plunge winners for the following:
- Top Fundraising Team - Trench Fitness (Regina)
- Top Fundraising Individual - Ladybug Returns (Saskatoon)
- Best Costume - Pickled Popsicles (Regina)
- Too Chicken to Plunge Winner - Chauntelle (Saskatoon)
In total, we raised over $55,000 for Special Olympics athletes across the province! The outpouring generosity from the plungers, volunteers, partners, sponsors, and supporters warmed our hearts. Without your support, our athletes would not be able to do what they do. Thank you to our incredible sponsors, brr-ave plungers, and all individuals involved for making this year's Plunge a SPLASHING success.

Once again THANK YOU to everyone for helping create a more inclusive tomorrow. Until next year, stay #FreezinForAReason!
