Join Law Enforcement officers and the brr-ave at heart for the 2024 Polar Plunges across Alberta in support of over 2,800 Special Olympics athletes! As the name implies, the Polar Plunge is a winter fundraising event whereby individuals have the “honour” of bravely jumping into freezing cold waters in the middle of the bitter Alberta winter. They are able to participate by securing donations from friends, family members, co-workers, local businesses, or their community. It’s a great way for everyone—individuals, organizations, and businesses—to get involved in support of Special Olympics and show winter who’s boss.
The LETR have six Polar Plunges around the province in 2024.Two Plunges kick off the road to the 2024 Special Olympics Canadian Winter Games held in Calgary this February, and four Plunges are part of the Final Leg Torch Run the week leading up to the opening ceremonies.
